The original 1971 Marrakesh flares from Made in Heaven was the first flare designed and made in Europe.

The hippies and bohemians, travelling to Marrakesh in the 60s and 70s, only wore flare and if those flares were British, they were Made in Heaven label.

Here, she shares her family photos featuring her Mum, Chekkie Maskell, who was the original Made in Heaven model, and her Dad, Tony Lonsdale, owner of the UK Jean Machine stores and known as the ‘Blue-Jean King’.
